Borobudur Temple
Borobudur temple is one of the most beautiful tourism objects in Java Island. Borobudur in Indonesia is said to be the greatest Buddhist stupa located in Magelang of Central Java, Indonesia. It was built before 800 A.D. The stupa is ornamented with 2676 panels and Buddha statues that are 504 in number. This place is not only a shrine but also homage of the Buddha. The visitors start their journey from the base of the temple and move to the third level that is on the top were there are 72 statues of the Buddha and the main monument. Borobudur was built by King Sanmaratungga in the 8th century, and belongs to Buddha Mahayana. Borobudur was revealed by Sir Thomas Stanford Raffles in 1814. The temple was found in ruined condition and was buried.
 
This temple surrounded by the Manorah hills. In the eas side there are Merapi and Merbabu mounts, and west side there are Sindoro and Sumbing mounts.

All relief panels in this temple reflect Buddha’s teaching. Actually, this temple has function as educating for those who want to learn Buddhism. The top part is called Arupa that symbolizes nirvana, where Buddha is residing. There are also some facilities in around Borobudur temple, you can rent elephant and car to surround the area around the temple of Borobudur. You just need spend money around Rp. 20.000-40.000 to rent those. Everyone can come to this tourism object, it will be nice if you can visit this place. The ticket is about Rp.30.000,- for adult and Rp 12.000,- for children.
